Since the takeoff of the cashless policy in 2012 in Lagos state, the E-Payment Providers Association of Nigeria E-PPAN has partnered with the Central Bank of Nigeria to create awareness on the policy and also allay the fears of the citizenry especially at the grassroots root level for the massive adoption of the Cashless Nigeria Initiative.

The grassroots sensitization and mobilization awareness campaign is one of the strategic tools the CBN has employed as a catalyst for the general adoption and acceptance of the alternatives to payment and to drive the cashless Nigeria initiative.

In achieving the objectives of the grassroots sensitization on the cashless initiative, the Electronic Payment Providers Association of Nigeria E-PPAN, constructively and strategically engaged the grassroots using various campaign tools and techniques.

These include:

  • Interactive sessions with selected key stakeholders
  • Open air sensitization campaign
  • Live demonstrations
  • Road Show / Distribution of IED materials

E-PPAN has actively taken part in 2012, 2013,2014 and 2017 cashless initiatives public campaign.
